The 1^st District of our great nation.  District 1’s magnificence, from it’s splendid high planes vistas, to its beautiful mountain views and stunning northern treks, make it one of the most scenic places in all of Panem.

It’s geography stretches from the northern border of Capitol City to the uppermost border with the Northern Wilds.  A diverse place, “Southern D1” as they call it, is flush with cosmopolitan merchant communities delivering the finest goods to Capitol City, while the “Highland D1” sports the rugged beauty of vast mountainous stretches, flush with the natural resources to produce Panem’s finest items.

Much of the beauty of our dear Capitol is due to the intrepid miners, manufacturers, and craftsmen of District 1.

It’s Northeast border pushes against the Great Wilds of the North, protecting us all from barbaric foreign interlopers, while to the Southeast it borders Districts 2 and 9.   To the West District 1 borders our Timber District, 7.  To the Southwest, it borders the technological hub of District 3.  It’s well-placed postion bordering all these integral regions allows the District to aquire the finest materials of each of its neighbors in producing its treasures.

District 1 also has a storied and triumphant history in the Hunger Games.  It’s Tributes have performed exceptionally, consistently producing proud Victors.  This 74^th Annual Hunger Games includes the highly impressive duo of Glimmer and Marvel, which have consistently ranked high as favorites for victory.
