RUMOR: Catching Fire Extra Casting Gearing Up In Atlanta?

Just because Catching Fire may move out of North Carolina and into Georgia, that doesn’t mean our favorite Southern reporter, Russ Bowen, is off the job! Just today he found a local Atlanta casting agency looking for extras to populate a movie called The Idiom. For those of you who missed out onHunger Games casting, that film was code-named Artemis during production. EW Posts New Behind-The-Scenes Clip of Jennifer Lawrence

Today, Entertainment Weekly posted another exclusive clip from the Hunger Games DVD/Blu-Ray set to hit stores next month:

In this EW exclusive clip of a behind-the-scenes feature from the upcoming Blu-ray release of The Hunger Games, Lawrence discusses her fears about signing onto a popular franchise film, her advice from her mom, and why a good script is a good script, no matter the size of the movie.

‘The Hunger Games DVD’ Release date in Indonesia according to Indo Hunger Games!

Jena Malone Responds to Being Cast as Johanna Mason: “On top of the world…”

After almost a month of speculation, yesterday Lionsgate finally confirmed that Jena Malone has officially been cast as Johanna Mason in Catching Fire,  And Jena is just as excited as we are at the announcement.  She posted the below photo to her instagram account yesterday.

CONFIRMED: Jena Malone as Johanna Mason in Catching Fire.

It’s something we’ve suspected for a while, with rumors abounding and Josh Hutcherson letting Malone’s name slip in a recent interview, but Lionsgate has just confirmed – Jenna Malone has been cast as Johanna Mason!

The Hunger Games Trilogy Sells 50 Million Copies

The Hunger Games Trilogy

The publishers of The Hunger Games trilogy, Scholastic, has announced that since the release of the movie, new readers have continued to discover the books, while others have been picking up the sequels to find out what happens next.

As of today, Scholastic has more than 50 million copies of the original three books in The Hunger Games trilogy in print and digital formats in the U.S. (more than 23 million copies of The Hunger Games; more than 14 million copies of Catching Fire; and more than 13 million copies of Mockingjay).

According to Scholastic’s President, Ellie Berger, “readers across the nation are captivated by the rich world and strong characters Suzanne Collins has created.

Sam Claflin, the Real Finnick Odair? The Rumors Hot Up!

Gossip Cop says it has the exclusive scoop, that Sam Claflin will definitely be Finnick Odair in Catching Fire.  This is a pretty firm source as their site is all about busting rumors and false news.

Sam Claflin will play Finnick Odair in Catching Fire, a source confirms exclusively to Gossip Cop.

The actor recently emerged as the frontrunner for the role in The Hunger Games sequel, and Gossip Cop has learned Lionsgate will make it official in an announcement in the near future.

As soon as Lionsgate does make it official, you can be sure we’ll have it here ASAP!  Hopefully we’ll get some casting news from there real soon.

Melissa Leo NOT Playing for Mags in Catching Fire!


While producers for Catching Fire go through the audition and casting process, there’s bound to be plenty of rumors about just who is being considered and who has been offered roles in The Hunger Games sequel.

Just the other day, Variety came out to say that Melissa Leo was on the short list to play Mags, and Tony Shalhoub for Beetee.  They also had word about Sam Claflin auditioning for Finnick Odair.

Now Jim Sneider, another Hollywood writer, has put the word out on Twitter that Melissa Leo will NOT be playing Mags, although Tony Shalhoub may still in the running for Beetee (we hope so) and Sam Claflinis indeed expected to be Finnick.
