Hunger Games cast members up for Do Something Awards
Three members of The Hunger Games cast are being recognised at this year’s Do Something Awards. VH1 has announced the final nominations and they include Josh Hutcherson and Liam Hemsworth as well as Lenny Kravitz.
The awards are all about rewarding those celebrities that do good in the community and inspire others to do the same.
Here’s why each received their nomination:
This year, Josh Hutcherson will become the youngest recipient of the Vanguard Award at the GLAAD Media Awards in Los Angeles for his work with the group Straight But Not Narrow, a non-profit strives to positively influence the straight youth’s perceptions of, and behavior towards, their LGBT peers.
Liam served as an ambassador of the Australian Childhood Foundation; a charity that works to put a stop to child abuse.
Lenny Kravitz & UNICEF Tap Project
Lenny used his social media clout to help provide the world’s children with safe, clean drinking water. Kravitz helped generate donations to the project by giving his fans a free, brand new track in return for donations.
